Dannemora Mineral chooses Infocube as its Jeeves ERP supplier
Mining and exploration company Dannemora Mineral AB, comprised of two wholly-owned subsidiaries Dannemora Magnetite AB and Dannemora Förvaltnings AB, chose Infocube as its partner to implement an ERP solution that is part of Infocube Complete following a procurement process. Infocube Complete is a full business system support that includes Jeeves Universal as well as portal, CRM and BI solutions. According to the contract with Dannemora Mineral, signed with Infocube's regional office in Stockholm, Infocube will also install QlikView as a BI tool.
The Dannemora Mine dates back to the days of Gustav Vasa. Operations closed in 1992 but the substantial increase in steel production worldwide has generated new market conditions for iron ore. In 2005, Dannemora Mineral AB was founded for the purpose of resuming operations at the mine.
Production start at Dannemora Mine is scheduled for the second quarter of 2012. A large number of investment projects, for a total cost of over SEK 1 billion, have been underway for several years. Although production has not yet started, demand for iron ore is intense. Agreements were signed with two major European steel producers in 2011.
The ERP system's openness and flexibility is crucial
Building new business and finance processes is just one of the many projects to be completed before operations resume. This includes the implementation of a new business system and Niklas Kihl, CFO at Dannemora Mineral, emphasizes that openness and flexibility were two crucial reasons for choosing Jeeves Universal.
"Since we're building all the processes from scratch, it was important for us to choose a ERP system that is open and flexible and that can be modified to suit new requirements that may arise as the business grows. Jeeves meets these demands. We chose Infocube as our supplier because we're confident the company has the resources and expertise needed to collaborate long term in providing a good business system solution. Infocube also demonstrated throughout the procurement process an ability to quickly familiarize itself with our business and the requirements we have for the processes we will build," says Niklas Kihl.
Dannemora Mineral's Class B shares are traded on First North in Stockholm since May 2007 and on Oslo Axess since June 2010. The company plans to eventually list its shares on NASDAQ OMX main market list. The fact that the company is listed adds to the requirements placed on the new business system.
"As a listed company, high demands are placed on accuracy in our financial statements which must always be correct, as well as high demands on key figures internally. Mining operations are divided into a number of production and processing processes and it is essential that our employees have access to reporting tools that give them complete cost control over the various processes. QlikView will provide us with a BI tool that makes it easy to access production-related key figures," continues Niklas Kihl.
Infocube's Jeeves implementation project will run from the beginning of 2012 until the end of March when operations resume. During the implementation phase, Jeeves will be integrated with Dannemora Mineral's pre-system in the form of a maintenance system and a production control system. Jeeves will be used in all Dannemora companies and the system is expected to have about 20 users.
Carl Johan Ahlsell, Regional Manager at Infocube in Stockholm, feels that the contract with Dannemora Mineral validates Infocube's market position as a strong business system support partner for production-oriented companies.
"Our combined experience is today made up of several hundred projects related to the Jeeves business system. I am very pleased that more and more companies, just like Dannemora Mineral, value the additional solutions we offer for Jeeves. QlikView is one good example of such solutions. When it comes to complete business solutions where the actual business system is the core, we see clear indications of a growing demand. The fact that we can expand and modify functionality with various additional products included in Infocube Complete makes us a strong partner," concludes Carl Johan Ahlsell.

Sweden's Innovation Agency Vinnova has decided to give Jeeves SEK 1 million in the framework of its Research & Grow project. The money will be used to develop Jeeves Apps Market. In collaboration with the University of Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law, Jeeves will also further develop the apps business model. Jeeves Apps Market is a marketplace and platform that enables Jeeves' customers and partners to disseminate solutions transparently. Jeeves' ERP system is fundamentally a holistic system. Customers today seek cutting edge functionality to strengthen their competitive edge, and by installing apps for various functions, customers get an effective ERP system.
"Using Jeeves Apps market, we want to build a new ecosystem for ERP systems because we believe the market needs to change and offer more value to customers faster. Vinnova's investment of money in the development of Jeeves Apps Market is proof that we are on the right track," says Bengt-Åke Älgevik, CEO of Jeeves.
Most ERP systems are becoming bigger and more complex, and their administration and management is getting more difficult. The effect of this is that both purchasing and maintenance are more expensive, and at the same time customers get locked in, making it difficult to change suppliers.
Jeeves has instead opted to go against the flow and offer a standardized platform. In order to obtain specific functions and solutions, the companies install apps. The apps, which are developed by Jeeves or its partners and customers, can then be offered to others through Jeeves Apps Market. This means that customers can reduce their development costs and, in certain cases, even earn money on their ERP system when they sell their apps to other Jeeves customers, or to Jeeves which incorporates the solution into the platform as a function.
"Good general ideas or apps developed by our customers or partners can well become a standard in our platform. For customers, Jeeves offers a highly attractive opportunity to obtain a fantastic ERP system at a lower cost," says Bengt-Åke Älgevik.
Besides the continuing work with Jeeves Apps Market, the money will be used for a joint project with the University of Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law. In the framework of this project, new business models will be looked at in which Jeeves Apps Market is a part. The leading Jeeves ERP Partners Infocube and JIS Netherlands have today signed an agreement of cooperation on the global market. By this JIS Netherlands will get the benefit of the structural capital of Infocube and consulting resources from the 90+ employee large organization with business in Sweden and USA. Infocube and JIS Netherlands will share Resources, Implementation Methodology and Customer Community Platform.
As a first step of tighter cooperation, Infocube Vice President Jonas Hammarberg joins the JIS Netherlands management team as of September 1, 2011.
By the agreement Infocube gets the option to acquire 51% of the shares in JIS Netherlands within a twelve (12) months period.
"Our companies have a history going side by side but on different markets, we share core values and will by this take the first step as allied. Infocube have clients in 21 countries and an implementation model and a focus in international projects and it is a great opportunity for JIS Netherlands giving us the strength to take much larger affairs. On top of this we can offer our clients access to the Infocube stack of solutions" says Jos H.A Bruins, Director at JIS Netherlands.
"Our strategy is to grow safe and with the right people onboard. By this alliance we get access to more resources within Jeeves Universal and Qlikview, which helps us both in international projects as well as balancing our workload at home. The small players in ERP and CRM will have a tougher time in the coming years due to the overall consolidation taking place in the market. Consulting companies of our size and larger perform better and have in general terms the stability, profitability and focus required to do what is needed in the market of rapid change. Together with JIS Netherlands we now have over 100 people focused in ERP, CRM and BI. With great packaged solutions for a number of targeted market segments we hope to win the trust from even more international accounts who would like to be as agile and efficient as our existing clients." says Jonas Hammarberg, Vice President and Creative Director at Infocube.

Fagerhult, the foremost lighting group in the Nordic region, has chosen Jeeves' ERP system to strengthen its logistics processes. Flexibility and cost-efficiency were decisive in Fagerhult's selection of the new ERP system. Solid trust in Jeeves' partner Infocube, which sold and will introduce the system into Fagerhult's operations, was also important in the choice of the solution.
Short lead times and delivery precision are key success factors for the lighting group Fagerhult, which supplies lighting for public environments and retail primarily in Europe. So now the group is implementing Jeeves' ERP system in its two production units in Sweden.
"We strive to continuously enhance competitiveness in our supply chain, all the way from our suppliers to customers. Jeeves offers a robust solution that will help us do that, and we'll gain new possibilities for planning and improving our entire logistics process. We are also thinking long-term as we invest in this new ERP system, because Jeeves is easy to upgrade and has a low cost of ownership. That means we can always keep up with advances and modify our operations when the needs of our customers change," says Anders Fransson, Supply Chain Director at Fagerhult.

Ejendals, the Nordic region's largest supplier of shoes, gloves, and skincare products for industrial and professional use, has selected Jeeves' ERP system in preparation for its upcoming national and international expansion. The transaction covers the entire group, with 250 users in Sweden, Finland, and Germany, and is being carried out with Jeeves' partner Infocube.
A weighty factor that tipped the scales in favor of Jeeves was its "fashion solution" for managing product information in the apparel industry. Ejendals, with well-known brands such as Graningekängan, Tegera, and Jalas, has customers chiefly in industry. The company is now expanding in Sweden and abroad and investing in a comprehensive ERP system that meets stringent demands, not least in terms of managing the many variants of a company's products. "Jeeves Universal provides us with order and control in our processes as well as the flexibility we need to meet our customers' needs when we expand," says Johan Sundström, Administrative Manager at Ejendals. "One of our explicit requirements was that the system should be able to keep track of our product portfolio and be able to manage our product information, including a multiplicity of different models and sizes. Based on our thorough specification, Jeeves as a system and Infocube as a partner have fulfilled our expectations very well." Ejendals has 350 employees and sales of SEK 815 million.
Ejendals in brief Ejendals is a family business based in Leksand, Sweden. The company develops, manufactures, and markets high-quality products that protect hands and feet, primarily for the European market. Today Ejendals has sales of almost SEK 1 billion and employs about 350 people in Europe, including 80 at the head office in Leksand.
Liber Distribution has chosen Jeeves Universal and Infocube to supply their new ERP system. The company is already finding possible efficiency gains and, through the new process support, will also tap into new revenue sources - both factors decisive for the choice.
Liber Distribution handles the logistics for the Liber publishing house and for external customers via their two units in Stockholm and Malmö, where numerous textbooks as well as famous titles like Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy and the Swedish law reference Svea Rikes Lag are just a sample of the huge variety carried. Modern and flexible ERP system support was high on Liber Distribution's wish list. The deal covers Jeeves Universal with applications for CRM, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, and Business Intelligence. In the long run, it is likely that the system will be integrated with ASTRO WMS, from Consafe Logistics, which is already installed.
"With the support of Jeeves, we can be much more efficient in our processes than previously. We place tough demands on our operations and our ERP system, and in that respect we are fully confident in Jeeves," says Sven Sjölin, President of Liber Distribution.
Jeeves' partner Infocube sold and will implement the solution.
"We are proud to welcome Liber Distribution and look forward to being able to work with them to develop the company's future," says Jonas Hammarberg, Vice President of Infocube AB. "This deal also consolidates our position in the logistics sector."

Nyberg's Deli has chosen Jeeves Universal to replace its existing proprietary system following a thorough evaluation. Sharply increased demand and sales, paired with new requirements from customers, such as for EDI, called for a standardized system.
Nyberg's Deli, a family business with its own brand, has become one of Sweden's largest suppliers of refined pork and beef products. Quality and safe food characterize the whole operation, and Nyberg's Deli was the first meat processing company in Sweden to receive the higher level quality accreditation in BRC Global Standard Food.
- With Jeeves Universal, we can replace all of the separate systems with a single one. At the same time, Jeeves Universal makes it much easier to plan purchasing, production, and forecasts. For implementation, we chose Jeeves partner Infocube because we found their method for conducting projects to ensure standardized implementation, increasing the security for us in a project as major as the change of our ERP system," says Katarina Hellsén Jarvin, Partner in Nyberg's Deli.
- We are pleased and proud that Nyberg's Deli chose Jeeves Universal and Infocube as the supplier from among tough competition. This demonstrates that our bundled food solution, together with our knowledge of operations and methodology, is attractive to companies in the food industry," says Carl Johan Ahlsell, Account Manager at Infocube.
The Jeeves solution for Nyberg's Deli will be commissioned on May 3 and will initially comprise 16 users and 65 reporters.
